Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) is widely regarded as one of the most brilliant and diversely talented individuals in history. A quintessential “Renaissance man,” his interests spanned art, science, engineering, and anatomy, and his genius left an indelible mark on each field. Born in Tuscany, he trained as a painter in Florence, where his early work showed a mastery of technique and emotion that set him apart.
